Piquant Plays invites you and yours to the upcoming production of the award-winning play The Language of Flowers.
Cabaret Theater, 330 S. Scott, Temple of Music and Art - downtown Tucson.
Flowers won the Long Beach Playhouse and Theater Conspiracy New Play Prizes and was a semi-finalist for the San Francisco Playwrights Foundation Award.
Critical commentary includes: 'A hauntingly beautiful play.' Shirlee Gottlieb of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle. 'One of the most well written plays I've read in a long time.' Audrey Singer of Actors Forum in LA. 'A tragedy of Shakespearian proportions.' C. Graham of Let The Show Begin.
Flower is the tale of two sisters - one channeling Emily Dickinson, the other suffering the delusions her doll is a living baby - whose secluded lives are disrupted by an escaped convict. These three, prisoners by conviction, confront one another until one of them - finally - is set free.
Flowers runs May 29, 30, June 5,6,12,13 at 7:30 pm and May 29, June 7 and 14 at 2:00 pm.
Ticket are $10 - students; $15 for groups of 4 or more; $20. (Cash or check at the door.)
