Lyrics by Susan Birkenhead
Directed by Chach Snook
And starring

An anachronistic adaptation of the classic Marivaux comedy of the same name, Triumph of Love is full of delicious deception, gender confusions and all the complexities of l'amour, revealing the beauty, absurdities and bittersweet nature of love.
Along with their hilarious "henchmen," Princess Leonide and the handsome Agis become lost on the messy path to love. One of them loves the other. The other is planning to kill her but unknowingly falls in love with her when she claims to be an on-the-run bride. This, after Agis discovers that she is not a male student, as her original disguise suggested – a disguise that proved convincing enough for another woman to fall in with her.
All of this fun, and we've not yet made it to intermission!
"[It melds]... a bright, comic-book style with a campy, irreverent wit... the broad comedy seamlessly (and quite effectively) gives way to moments of real poignancy as the aging brother and sister open their long-closed hearts to the dangers of love." – Variety
