Elephant Scout Films Presents

'Eddie Mummy: A Love Story'

Eddie Mummy is Unwrapping His Ways of Love For Tucson Arts

Tucson, AZ - Elephant Scout Films, presents 'Eddie Mummy: A Love Story' - An Online Benefit Screening on Friday, August 21st - Monday, August 31st, 2020. Tickets available at https://vimeo.com/ondemand/eddiemummyalovestory.

Elephant Scout Films is proud to present a 10-day online screening event of the romantic comedy 'Eddie Mummy: A Love Story.' Proceeds will benefit various local businesses to stay in operation. Monies will go towards rent and other bills for Groundworks (501c3 non-profit, youth-driven community arts space), Movement Culture (Tucson's Black owned dance & movement studio), and The Screening Room (Tucson's premiere Downtown indie movie theater). Elephant Scout is looking to raise $3000 during the course of this online event.

This Mummy Rom-Com is an Indie Feature revolving around two friends that stumble upon a mummy while rock climbing. They embark on an adventure to help him break his curse by landing him a date with the reincarnation of his true love.

Shot over 12 days at various, awesome, locations around Tucson, including: The Bloc - Out East, Cafe Passe, White Stallion Ranch, The Surly Wench, and R-Bar, 'Eddie Mummy: A Love Story' launched Elephant Scout Films into the storytelling world. An in-person screening was held back in 2016 at the Rialto Theatre to benefit Tucson's Boys and Girls Club where over $1000 was raised.

Considering the times we're in, we can't really go to the movies for a while with theaters, gyms, and venues having to close their doors, so we decided it was time to pick this film off the shelf, dust it off, and re-share it with the community to benefit some local artists & organizations in need.

Director: Christopher Scott has been working in the film industry for over 15 years within various roles around Southern Arizona. He enjoys character-driven stories in both telling and experiencing them. Since launching his directorial debut 'Eddie Mummy: A Love Story', Chris has written, directed, and produced three short films, two web shorts, two features, a podcast, and is currently writing his next feature. Wanting to give back to his hometown, Chris focuses on featuring aspects of the Tucson scene that may otherwise be overlooked.

'Eddie Mummy: A Love Story' - An Online Benefit Screening will be $12 to rent on Vimeo and is available to the public. This 10-day screening will be held August 21st-31st. Tickets available at https://vimeo.com/ondemand/eddiemummyalovestory.

About Elephant Scout Films

Elephant Scout was founded in Tucson, AZ and is a local film production company that has served the community for over 5 years. Rather than bringing a Hollywood veneer to Tucson, we make films for Tucson by Tucson. The movies we make are diverse because we are diverse. By creating a local, profitable film here in town we can win over the Tucson audience to gain trust in the community for indie films built outside of the hulking monopolizing studios. By employing local vendors and talent and writing stories that represent the diverse and inclusive community, we can strengthen our position on the proverbial creative map.
