Today is Arizona Action Day · Save Our Stages!
The Save Our Stages Act, a bi-partisan bill from Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), is a $10 billion grant program providing Small Business Administration grants to independent live music venues affected by COVID-19 like The Fox, The Rialto and Hotel Congress. If passed, the bill would provide six months of financial support to keep venues afloat, pay employees, and preserve a critical economic sector of our community.
Today, music venues across the state and hundreds of local artists will be taking to their social media pages and making some noise to help ensure their survival. Won't you join us?

2. Sign the letter at www.saveourstages.com and tell our senators and representatives here in Arizona to support the Save Our Stages Act and the RESTART Act. Even if you've already signed, please visit the website again and sign the new letter! Now that the Save Our Stages Act has been introduced in Congress in response to our efforts, the letter has been updated to ask our representatives to support this new bill that was created just for us!

Fox Theatre Ghost Light Video
Historic theatres all across the world are empty, but as long as their ghost lights shine, they won't be in the dark. What is a ghost light you ask?
- A single lamp placed on stage to keep the theatre from being in total darkness.
- A safety light.
- A light to ensure good luck by always having the stage illuminated.
- A low cost way to keep the stage illuminated for the comings and goings of theatre personnel when a show is not being conducted.
- A light to keep resident ghosts company and happy during long dark nights.
- A symbol to all that theatre people take care of their own, even when there isn't a show.

I Dream in Widescreen Premieres this Weekend!
Every year, the Fox Tucson Theatre is proud to host I Dream in Widescreen, a signature program of the UA School of Theatre, Film & Television. While we cannot host the event in person this year, you can still catch the event online August 8-9th on the school's YouTube page!
