Whiplash am I right!  Last week we were in the middle of a pandemic, wear your masks, get vaxed, then on Thursday the CDC drops the mic on us removing mask mandates for vaccinated individuals.  Then Pima County drops the mask mandate all together.  What a life!  We spent some time revaluating our situation, and made some decisions.  We are going to keep our mask requirement for audience members at our shows for a bit longer, because our theater is a pretty small space.  We are going to up our capacity for seating, because a show is always better with more audience, and we think its safe to reduce our distancing of seats.  We will let it be up to our performers if they want to go with out a mask for the show, as we are currently requiring all of our performers to be vaxed to perform.  We will also be relaxing our mask mandate in our classes, as we are currently running them at a lower capacity and keeping social distance.  So students will be able to go without masks in our classes if fully vaccinated. Our COVID-19 Ticket and Entrance Policy was adjusted slightly, so check it out if you have questions.

We have two great classes starting up next week!  Teen Improv 101 for high school students aged 13-17 will be starting on Wednesday, May 26th from 10am to noon.  We are so excited to renew our teen program, and Clare Shelley will be the teacher who brings the highest level of energy and fun to all that she does.  Have a teen you want to say yes a bit more, and need to get them out of the house this summer?  Send them our way!  Then on the same day from 6-8 pm, we have Stand Up 101 starting with Rich Gary.  So kick off your summer the right  way with getting in some laughs!

Andrew Campbell was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida and graduated with his Bachelor's and Master's Degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando (Go Knights!).  He also lived in Jacksonville, and Miami before moving to Tucson in 2008.  Andrew worked in Student Affairs in Higher Education at 4 different colleges, including the University of Arizona, before moving into his current career in Human Resources at Tucson Unified School District.  When he is not working, you can find him singing with Reveille Men's Chorus, cheering on the UCF Knights and UA Wildcats (Bear Down!), or enjoying a good craft beer around town.

Teen Improv 101
Wednesday, May 26th 10AM-noon
Instructor: Clare Shelley

Our Teen Improv 101 class is an introduction to improv for high school students aged 13-17 years old and will teach you the two most important words in the improvisers vocabulary: "Yes, And." These two seemingly simple words open up the door to our six week course that will provide your foundation for comedy improvisation: team-building, trust, speed, active listening, and agreement. Over the six weeks you will specifically learn: grounded scene work, how to develop relationships, create characters, and cultivate the environment within improv scenes. Students learn to be fearless and have fun on stage using the TIM approach to improv.
