!!!NOMINATE YOUR VAGINA WARRIOR!!!

Do you know a courageous woman or man who stands up for the rights of women
everywhere? Do you know a Vagina Warrior, someone who asserts their beliefs
with firmness and compassion? Honor them at this year's showing of "The
Vagina Monologues" on the U of A campus! This year's theme is "Vagina
Warrior: A New Revolution!"

Eve Ensler, author of "The Vagina Monologues," describes Vagina Warriors by
saying: "They are fierce, obsessed, can't be stopped, driven. They are no
longer beholden to social customs or inhibited by taboos. They are not
afraid to be alone, not afraid to be ridiculed or attacked.
They are often willing to face anything for the safety and freedom of
others.
They love to dance. They are directed by vision, not ruled by ideology.
They
are citizens of the world. They cherish humanity over nationhood."

These individuals deserve our honor and acclaim. The Network of Feminist
Student Activists will recognize local Vagina Warriors at this year's
benefit production of "The Vagina Monologues." Each Vagina Warrior will
receive a certificate recognizing her (or his!) dedication and free
admission to the show. Please send your nomination with a brief explanation
to uavday@hotmail.com by Friday, February 10. Shows are February 16, 17,
and
18
at 7:30 pm in Social Sciences 100. Tickets are on sale on the mall this
week and next. Email uavday@hotmail.com for more information.
