Red Barn Theatre AUDITION "Uncle Tom's Cabin"

Audition Notice: Uncle Tom's Cabin

Monday & Tuesday, May 15 & 16 6-7pm.

Needed: Several men & women and a few children. Black and white people
needed. This is the story of a black slave of great intelligence, impeccable
integrity and constant kindness. The book, by Harriet Beecher Stowe,
revealed the baseness of slavery and is attributed with starting the Civil
War. The play was often performed in the early 1900's. This adaptation is
shortened and simplified. It features the music of Steven Foster and the
banjo, which came from Africa. Monologue or cold reading. Also a simple,
familar song.
