Arts for All to Hold Auditions for Disney’s Jungle Book Jr.

 

Arts for All will hold auditions for Disney’s Jungle Book Jr.,Wednesday and Thursday, March 14^th and 15^th. Auditions will be held by appointment from 4pm to 6pm at Arts for All, 2520 N. Oracle Road. This production is a wonderful musical version of Rudyard Kipling’s tale of a young orphan boy raised by the creatures of the jungle. This production highlights the music and storyline presented by the  Disney animated film. 

 

Arts for All is seeking male and female actors, with strong singing ability, ages 8 through 18. Young males with unchanged singing voices are need to cast the lead role of “Mogili” specifically.   Experience in theater and improvisation is preferred. They are also seeking young actors well versed in American Sign Language. Actors with and without disabilities are encouraged to audition. Actors should prepare a one-minute memorized monologue in their best diction. The monologue can be prose or poetry, preferably not original work. Those performers with specialties such as acrobatics, juggling or magic should prepare a short demonstration.

 

Rehearsals will be held selected weekday and weekend afternoons from March 17^th through April 26th. Performances will be April 27 – May 7, 2007, at Arts for All’s Little Theater. There will also be a special student matinee.
