Arizona Theatre Company’s
TEEN CRITIC PROGRAM 2010-2011!
Arizona Theatre Company once again brings its exciting Teen Critic Program to young journalists throughout Tucson. The Teen Critic Program focuses on journalism and critical writing while exposing students to professional theatre, helping them learn about the qualities and aesthetics that make professional theatre wonderful to behold. Participating students also learn how to construct and write a professional-caliber theatre review. Students involved in this program are invited to opening night (free of charge!), receive a press packet, and get preferred press seating. They also have the opportunity to engage in workshops with Arizona theatre critics and to have their work professionally reviewed. Students will write a review for each of the six productions that ATC performs during its 2010-2011 season (Backwards in High Heels, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Woody Guthrie's American Song, Ten Chimneys, Lost in Yonkers, and The Mystery of Irma Vep), and these reviews will be published either in a school newspaper or online.
