Casting Male Lead for Neil Simon's
"The Prisoner of Second Avenue"

Festival Repertory Theatre is seeking a seasoned actor for the role of
Mel Edison for its February production of Neil Simon's "The Prisoner of
Second Avenue."  Mel, who is nearing retirement age, is the quintessential
New York smart aleck -- sarcastic, acerbic, and ultimately pragmatic.
The character is on stage for nearly the entire play and has many lines
to learn.  Rehearsals begin immediately, with performances running for
three weekends starting February 10th at the Cabaret Theater of the Temple
of Music and Art.  Actors will receive a modest honorarium.

To arrange an audition, please call Festival Repertory Theatre's founder
and director, Adele Furman, at 529-3829.
