Invisible Theatre continues its 43rd Anniversary Season
GOOD ROCKIN' LIVE!
A Salute to Sun Records
Starring Robert Shaw and the Lonely Street Band
January 11-12, 2014
(December 20, 2013, Tucson, Arizona); IT continues its 43rd anniversary season with Good Rockin' LIVE! A Salute to Sun Records Starring Robert Shaw and the Lonely Street Band. This live concert event pays tribute to the birth of rock and roll and the music legends that Sun Records helped propel to stardom. In 1952, Sun Studios opened up shop in a small storefront in Memphis, TN, setting off a chain of events that would change the course of musical history. In a few short years, this little record company produced superstars such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, and B.B. King. "Good Rockin' LIVE!" stars Tucson favorite Robert Shaw from the Chicago and New York casts of the hit musical "Million Dollar Quartet," and features Ross Martinie Eiler and Eric Brown with the Lonely Street Band. With hits like "Great Balls of Fire," "Folsom Prison Blues," "That's All Right, Mama," and "Blue Suede Shoes," this show tells the tale of how rock was born through the music and stories of those who lived it.

THE INVISIBLE THEATRE
The Invisible Theatre (IT) of Tucson, a 501 C 3 organization, is dedicated to producing quality theatre and arts education experiences for all facets of the community in an intimate setting that showcases local professional talent and guest artists. IT takes its name from the invisible energy that flows between a performer and audience, creating the magic of theatre. Started in 1971 as an arena for local playwrights, the theatre has expanded its programs to include adaptations of classics and recent Off-Broadway plays and musicals, while continuing to encourage new playwrights through both full productions and stage readings. Under the leadership of Managing Artistic Director Susan Claassen, Associate Artistic Director James Blair, and Associate Producer Cathy Johnson, IT is strongly committed to community service and outreach programs. The company's current season includes a six play Main Stage season, many special events, Project Pastime — an educational theatre program for the mentally challenged including a video workbook and seminars that encourage community dialogue. The Invisible Theatre, the recipient of the first Arizona Theatre Association Award for Best Producing Theatre Company, is a member of the Theatre Communications Group and has long enjoyed both local and national recognition for its strong leadership role in the arts community. Productions take place in an intimate 80-seat converted laundry building. IT celebrates this season with an even greater commitment to professionalism, artistic excellence, accessibility, freedom of expression, diverse programming and creative challenge — thus making the Invisible Theatre a very visible force in Tucson's cultural community.
ABOUT THE PEOPLE
ROBERT SHAW (Vocals, Guitar) who was born in Southeast Indiana and raised in a musical family, began performing at a young age. He grew up singing and acting and developed an early knack for being able to envision the "big picture" when he was involved with a production. Robert studied at the University of The Arts in Philadelphia and has been performing professionally his entire adult life at venues which include Derby Dinner Playhouse, Disneyland, The Gaslight Theatre, and has performed with both the Chicago and New York casts of Broadway's smash-hit musical "Million Dollar Quartet."
He founded Lonely Street Productions in 2005 in Tucson, AZ to handle the business end of a rapidly growing concert production company; the company has now grown into a full-service national entertainment corporation. In addition to performing regularly, Robert has produced over 1000 concert productions and regularly collaborates on the conception, development, direction, music-direction, and design of all the entertainment properties in the company's stable.
ROSS MARTINIE EILER (Vocals, Piano) works with the homeless in Bloomington, Indiana where he also plays with his band The 123's. Ross is a husband, father, beekeeper, and chess enthusiast. He struggles with the recorder and with growing a beard.
ERIC BROWN (Vocals, Guitar) is a 12-year veteran of the music business and has been involved in many facets of the industry. He has toured the world with his various musical projects, playing festivals, theatres, casinos, and everything in between. With dozens of albums to his credit as producer, writer, and/or musician, Eric also writes and performs his own songs and fronts "Eric Brown and the L Street Band" which performs music by Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen. He came on board with Lonely Street Productions in 2010 and currently oversees Lonely Street's business and financial operations. (www.ericbrownandthelstreetband.com)
