Subject: Male actors ages 10-18 needed for Bye Bye Birdie

We're currently in need of talented young male actors ages 10-18 to play the leading roles in our summer musical Bye Bye Birdie. This fun, upbeat '50s rock musical is being performed as a part of our Broadway Bound Musical Theatre Camp June 20-July 1.  Prior acting experience is not required.

We often find our musical camp without enough boys for the musical we're performing, because there's always more teen girls interested in singing and dancing than there are boys.  But the awesome thing for the guys in camp is that since there's less competition, they are just about guaranteed a large role in the show! Bye Bye Birdie has many fantastic roles for male actors: one is Conrad Birdie, the teen heartthrob singer who gives a concert for his biggest fans before leaving for the army, and Albert Peterson, Conrad's manager, who is tasked with writing Conrad one last great song and aspires to leave the business and become an English teacher.

Auditions to determine the roles takes place on the first day of camp June 20, and the performances are on the last day of camp, July 1. This camp is a fun summer experience, where students get to make lots of new friends, learn improv games, music, acting, singing, and dancing, all in two weeks, and finish off the camp with a fully-mounted musical production with two performances for family and friends! Advance registration is required, and scholarships are available!  Please email troubadourtheatre@yahoo.com or call 602-790-6876 for questions or scholarship information. Register online now on our website http://www.troubadourtheatre.com

There's still room for girls in the camp, too, so register now!
