Hello all! I am so pleased to be the entertainment for IAEDP's annual fundraising Gala! TransFormations is the play I wrote (and am updating - added a new non-binary character) and it's on next Sunday - early evening. Please come if you are not going to All Souls - it's a great show! Especially if you enjoy, or want to know more about the transgender community. They should offer CE's-it's a fun way to learn Trans 101 info! Oh yeah, I'm the actor, too.

TransFormations
TransFormations is a one-actor theatrical performance conceived, written, and performed by Martie van der Voort, and directed by Tom Slauson. The time is now, the setting is The Gender Rebels support group, and you are the newest member. Through monologue, poetry and improvisation, you will meet and befriend these characters, and witness their stories, struggles and celebrations.
Martie van der Voort is a genderqueer actor, singer, writer, guitarist and therapist. Through her work at the University of Arizona and in private practice, she has specialized in the treatment of trauma resolution, eating, food, and body image issues, and LBG and trans clients.
