AUDITION CALL FOR A CHRISTMAS CAROL AND CAROUSEL
Venue: Junior League, 2099 E. River Rd.
Audition Dates/Times: Fri Sept 6th from 6-9 pm and Sat Sept 7th from 9 am – 12 pm
Call Backs Date/Time: Sat Sept 14th from 9 am – 12 pm

Roles Available: All roles available for both shows (Exception: Ebenezer Scrooge is precast for A Christmas Carol and will be played by Christopher Younggren)
Audition Requirements: Please prepare 32 bars (about 2 minutes) of a musical theatre piece that features your vocal range. An accompanist will be provided. Recorded music with no vocal backing may also be used (bring an aux cord - a speaker will be available).
The Directors use Casting Manager during the casting process (see registration link above). Please post your head shot, resume and any schedule conflicts to your Casting Manager profile.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Arts Express’ A Christmas Carol & Dickens Festival is a Southern Arizona holiday tradition. Adapted from the Dickens classic, this musical features a brilliant score by Broadway heavy hitters Alan Menken (Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Once on This Island, Seussical). This celebrated musical theatre production of the timeless classic captivates audiences with its brilliant cast, dynamic live orchestra and dazzling costumes. Show audiences enjoy free admission to the Dickens Festival. Explore the merry old streets of London, with holiday amusement, merry merchants, jolly musicians & carolers, scrumptious food & treats, and roaming Victorian era characters!

CAROUSEL
Arts Express presents the Tony Award-winning classic musical Carousel, with music by Richard Rodgers and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Named the best musical of the 20th Century by Time magazine, Carousel follows Billy Bigelow and Julie Jordan through their journey of love, loss and redemption and soars with unforgettable songs including If I Loved You, June Is Bustin’ Out All Over and You’ll Never Walk Alone. With its soaring and lush musical score and dramatic story full of rich and complex characters, it asks the question: Do all of us deserve a second chance? A live orchestra, brilliant sets and lush costumes will complement this celebrated Broadway score.
