West Campus, Center for the Arts - Recital Hall

Pima Theatre invites you to take a look behind the curtain and experience a table reading of Pilar and Paloma. Catch a glimpse of the process of bringing a new play to life as actors read through this new script for the first time!

Pilar and Paloma is an adult fairytale about twins born on opposite sides of the border, set in the Sonoran desert, where mystical creatures used to roam free. Will they be able to repay their debt to Desert?

Milta Ortiz works as a playwright, poet, performer, director, writer and teacher. She's working on an upcoming production of Cycles, a play commissioned by StoryWorks, and a memoir with spoken word poetry about growing up Salvi. Recently, she directed The Sun Serpent here at Pima Community College where she also teaches voice and movement for actors.
