Call for Auditions

Live Theatre Workshop 2020 Auditions are Sunday, April 19

Live Theatre Workshop (LTW) is hosting an open call casting audition for all performing programs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at LTW’s new theatre campus, 3322 E. Ft. Lowell Rd. in Tucson. (Please note that the new theatre campus is not yet open to the public. Shows and classes are at the current location on Speedway Blvd.)

Musical theatre, dramatic, and comedic actors are encouraged to show off their acting talents at the audition. Live Theatre Workshop casts roles for its professional Children’s Theatre musicals and Mainstage shows throughout the year and is casting all genders, ethnicities, and ages!

No appointments are necessary; first come, first served. Some roles for the 2020-2021 seasons have already been cast.

People auditioning should bring a headshot and resume and be prepared with a one-minute monologue. Those interested in auditioning for Children’s Theatre musicals can also prepare a 32-bar musical selection. Please note that LTW will not provide an accompanist, but will have a laptop to connect to phones or flash drives.

The Children's Theatre shows in 2020/2021 include:

  • Robin Hood and His Merry Men: The Musical
  • Tooth Fairies in Training
  • A Christmas Catastrophe! : A Christmas Sing-A-Long
  • The Conundrum At Camp Catalina
  • Waiting for Dogo
  • Once Upon This Time

The 2020/2021 Mainstage season has not been announced yet.

Live Theatre workshop staff cannot schedule individual or make up auditions, but those unable to attend the audition date may submit a headshot and resume via email. Additionally, those interested in stage management or other technical roles should submit a resume and cover letter to livetheatreworkshop@gmail.com.
