Every Friday at 10:00AM (MST), Dawn performs a totally made up scene with a talented improviser from somewhere in the world - all on the Unscrewed Theater Facebook page.

This week, Dawn chats and performs a silly scene with local Tucson artist Ro Rubin!

Ro is a free spirit experience of the moment. Actor, comic, dancer, nurse, friend, rescuer, hippie. Peace, love and dachshunds. Yesterday already happened. Tomorrow hasn't arrived. Today is right now. Live it.

Family-Friendly Improv Comedy

Tonight, the very talented Jacque Arend makes stuff up with us on the Unscrewed Theater virtual stage!

Jacque is an experienced improviser who joins us from Phoenix, AZ! In 2007 she co-founded the Torch Theater, Phoenix's home for long-form improv, where she taught until 2018. Jacque remains a regular performer at the Torch with Light Rail Pirates (est. 2006) and the duo JaxN Reed (est. 2009). Jacque still coaches, offers workshops, and is the instructor for improvisation at Arizona Actors Academy.

Jacque has played on Mainstage of the Phoenix Improv Festival for the last 12 years and recently performed in the 2016 District Improv Festival, 2017 Del Close Marathon, and years 2016-2018 of the San Diego Improv Festival.

You can see her perform regularly with Birds & Broads and Skewed News Hour at Second Beat Improv Theater, as well as the pop-up team MuChuChu.

UNCENSORED Improv Comedy

We're thrilled to welcome another very talented improviser to our virtual stage -- all the way from Chicago! Join us for a night of totally unscripted, uncensored comedy with Nelson Velazquez!

Nelson has been involved in improvisational theatre for the last 15 years!

He is currently the Artistic Director of Salsation Theatre Company, a 22-year-old Latino theatre company specializing in sketch and improv comedy and also serves as head musical director for Los Improviachis, the world's only improvisational musical mariachi band. He has trained and performed at Second City Training Center, The Annoyance Theatre, and ComedySportz Chicago and has performed with various groups across the country.

Nelson was the founder of the improv program at Crown Point Community Theatre and is currently the CEO for Improductions, LLC. He serves as faculty at Second City Chicago performs and teaches workshops at improv festivals regularly throughout the year.

Nelson brings his talents into the mix with Jessica, Jon, Allana, Rosanne, David - & your host, Cy Barlow!
