This week we have another jam packed weekend of shows.  On Thursday night we have the Fresh Faces Showcases at 7:30pm, and the Battle of the Boasts at 8:30pm.  On Friday we start it off with the Jam at 6pm, then we have people who work with real live jaguars telling stories at the Soapbox at 7:30pm, then pregame your night out with beer, wine, white claws, and laughter at 9pm with the Stand Up Comedy Show.

On Saturday, Carcajadas: Una Noche De Comedia returns to celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage Month at 7:30pm.  We will have a vendor fair at the theater before the show with local businesses: la Bolita Bakery, Leylas's Crafty Creations, West Boutique AZ, Miss ChingaderAZ, Belle Bleu Beauty, Barrio Books, and Tacobout Crafting.  Also don't miss out on the Family Joint Pizza food truck that will be across the street from the theater all night.  Then at 9pm the second semi-final of the 3V3 Improv Tournament with Fakespeare , Free Beer, Mono a Mono a Mono, and Time is Fleeting.  Come out and vote for your favorites!

The Soapbox with Randy Young & Allison Kreis
(Re)Telling Tucson's Story
Friday, 7:30 PM

"Randy is the founder of La Tierra del Jaguar, a non-profit organization working to save the jaguar through education, habitat restoration, and regenerative agriculture in Sahuaripa, Sonora, Mexico. He is also a sculptor, mechanic, outdoor guide, and all around groovy guy.  Growing up on both sides of the border, Randy is fully bilingual and can make fun of you in two languages.

Cleaner of cougars, enricher of otters, feeder of the ferocious hummingbirds... Allison has had the pleasure of working with an assortment of animals as a zookeeper for the last 15 years. She is an artist, vulture enthusiast, and wildlife lover."

Improv 101 w/ Sara Alcazar Silva
Saturday, September 25th
4:00pm-6:30pm

Our Improv 101 class will teach you the two most important words in the improvisers vocabulary: "Yes, And." These two seemingly simple words open up the door to our six week course that will provide your foundation for comedy improvisation: team-building, trust, speed, active listening, and agreement. Over the six weeks you will specifically learn: grounded scene work, how to develop relationships, create characters, and cultivate the environment within improv scenes. Students learn to be fearless and have fun on stage using the TIM approach to improv.
