Subject: Reserve your seat for this FREE show this Saturday only
In 2001, I was employed by The Spokesman-Review, one of the last family-owned newspapers in the U.S.. On the morning of September 11th, my husband woke me with a cup of coffee and the words, "Looks like it's going to be a busy news day."
"Why's that?" I asked.
"Someone flew a plane into the World Trade Center."
We turned on the TV just in time to see a second plane fly into the south tower. I don't remember when I got to work that day, just that I didn't care whether I went at all. It was indeed a busy day. The newspaper published a special edition, the first in decades. Executives from every department went down to the streets of Spokane and sold it on the sidewalks downtown.
And America was never the same.
Everyone out of their teens has a 9/11 story, whether they watched the towers fall over and over on television, or lost someone in one of the attacks. We'd like to hear yours.

What's YOUR story?

The play was a finalist for the Pen Award in 2003. It is being performed this September 11th at numerous theaters in the US and Canada.
Hole in the Sky is directed by Artistic Director Maria Caprile, and stars Denise Blum*, Tony Caprile*, Gianbari Deebom, Damian Garcia, Tyler Gastelum*, Mike Saxon, and Myani Watson. (Reservations are recommended, but not required.)
In order to ensure the safety of our community, we respectfully require all patrons to wear masks while in the theater.
Winding Road would like to thank our sponsor, Arizona Theater Company, for their support and generosity in providing the theater space for the Tucson community to join and remember this pivotal moment in American history.
While the reading is free, donations are encouraged. Proceeds will be shared with Tunnel to Towers, a non-profit organization that supports Military and First Responders and their families in need of housing and other assistance.
