Subject: Costume Stitcher Needed
University of Arizona School of Dance is looking for a skilled stitcher to sew costumes for upcoming productions. Preferably looking for someone with experience with: industrial straight stitch machines, sergers, and sewing garments with more challenging fabrics like silk, velvet, and stretch. Applicant preferably has experience with theatre and/or dance costumes.
This is an independent contractor position (NOT employee), and hours can vary as projects arise throughout the school year. Pay will be hourly rate based on experience. Applicants must not already be a UA employee or student (university requirement for hiring independent contractors).
Applicant will need to be available to work in-person in the costume shop at the Stevie Eller Dance Theatre, between 10am-6pm M-F (those only available part time are welcome to apply, you do not need to be available all of those hours). Masks are required to be worn.
