Youth Center Summer Camp for Middle School Youth! FREE
Calling middle school creatives! If you like writing, acting, theatre, or filmmaking, our summer camp is for you!
Literacy Connects' Summer Camp is an entirely student-produced celebration of creative expression! Youth write stories, then collaborate to conceptualize and produce those stories as short plays and films. The Camp Showcase is a variety show of original stories written and performed by campers!
At the Youth Center, participants will:
- Write stories
- Learn key elements of theatre and film
- Learn technology used in theatre and film
- Practice giving and receiving feedback
- Put on a show for friends and family
- Make friends and have fun!
Youth center @ Literacy Connects camp is FREE and open to 6th-8th grade students.
