A Word From The Executive Director
In this video, Executive Director Michael Martinez encourages you to get involved in the non profit arts community and help bring great theatre and theatre education to Tucson.
Auditions!
We are hosting an open call casting audition for all performing programs in the 2022-2023 Season beginning in October 2022. The auditions will be held from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22nd. The shows in the season will be announced in August 2022.
Musical theatre, dramatic, and comedic actors are encouraged to show off their acting talents at the audition. LTW casts roles for its professional Children's Theatre musicals, Mainstage shows, and Etcetera Late Night shows throughout the year.
LTW is a Safe Place and ally who encourages people of all ethnicities, abilities, ages, and who identify as any gender to audition.
All roles are paid a set stipend based on the size of the role and time commitment.
People auditioning should email a headshot and resume to Karin Hupp at karin.h@livetheatreworkshop.org and will be assigned a time to arrive for their audition.

Opening Soon!
Rhonda Hallquist and Joanne Mack Robertson in Body Awareness
Body Awareness
May 5 - June 4, 2022
on the Mainstage
"An engaging new comedy by a young playwright with a probing, understated voice...Its quiet rewards steal up on you." - The New York Times
Annie Baker's award-winning Body Awareness simultaneously brings out the comedy and underlying empathy of characters under one roof trying to balance opposing social views. Phyllis, a staunch feminist professor and her acquiescent partner Joyce are hosting Frank, a nude portrait photographer in their home. When Phyllis objects to his work, tensions rise as Joyce unabashedly appreciates his perspective. Her desire to pose for him serves as a small retreat from the responsibilities of raising an adult son who is likely on the Autism spectrum. Received with warm critical acclaim upon its premiere in 2008, Body Awareness continues to resonate strongly with today's audiences.
Body Awareness is directed by Sam Rush and stars Joanne Mack Robertson as Joyce, Rhonda Hallquist as Phyllis, Preston Hatch as Jared, and Keith Wick as Frank.
The show runs May 5th to June 4th, 2022. Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 3:00pm, with a special Saturday matinee on June 4th at 3:00pm. There's no evening show on June 4th.
Body Awareness contains strong adult language that some may find offensive.
Please bring and wear your mask while attending shows at Live Theatre Workshop.
We appreciate your support for our year-round programming for children, our thought-provoking and often funny productions for adult audiences, and our outreach to local artists.
