Papermoon Puppet Theatre
Puno, Sewing Memories
On Tour As Part of Center Stage
OCT 8-11 | Tornabene Theatre
"Papermoon breaks through cultural barriers that usually separate us from one another, when words can often fail."
– Geleran.id
Experience a story that speaks to every heart — no words required.
From Indonesia's Papermoon Puppet Theatre, Puno, Sewing Memories is a breathtaking, nonverbal performance that transcends language and culture. Through exquisitely crafted puppets and haunting live music, it tells the story of Tala, a young girl learning to live with loss after her father's passing.
When Tala discovers that souls remain for 40 days after death, she suddenly has one last chance to be with her father. What will she say before their time is gone?
Tender, imaginative, and deeply human, Puno, Sewing Memories invites audiences to reflect on love, memory, and the beauty of letting go.
Four performances only, seating is limited.
Papermoon Puppet Theatre is on tour in the USA as part of Center Stage, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs with funding provided by the U.S. Government. It is administered by the New England Foundation for the Arts in cooperation with the U.S. Regional Arts Organizations. General management is provided by Lisa Booth Management, Inc.
