Kathy Garver’s lengthy list of credits include her role as the series regular “Cissy” in CBS TV’s Family Affair and the voice of “Firestar” in the animated series Spider Man. Kathy was just honored with the “Audie Award” for directing author Amy Tan in the audio recording of her new book The Opposite of Fate. She is a prolific actress, working in film, television, theater, animation, etc. Kathy’s voice over work ranges from CD ROMs, electronic toys, books on tape, movie and television looping, to training and career consultation.

The Invisible Theatre will present the World Premiere Staged Reading of CLOUDS IN HEAVEN, starring TV, theatre and film star Kathy Garver and
blind girl to learn language in the mid 19th century and the man who discovered her, Dr. Samuel Howe.
This evocative and poetic play is drawn from memoirs, diaries and personal recollections.
Most fondly remembered for her starring role as “Cissy” in the long running CBS prime time television hit, Family Affair, Kathy Garver has garnered critical acclaim in movies, stage, radio, voice over animation and audio book narration. Her voice has been heard in Apollo 13 (which was awarded the Academy Award for Sound), Ransom, Backdraft and Jingle all the Way – all directed by Ron Howard. Her Beatrix Potter tapes have sold over a million copies. Ms. Garver has also won two Audie Awards, one for her narration of The World’s Shortest Stories, the other in 2004 for her direction of Amy Tan in “The Opposite of Fate, read by the author. Today Kathy
is an accomplished and versatile actress, appearing in such films as Sweet November, The Princess Diaries, Seizing Me, Black August and Held Together and has electrified the talk show circuit entertaining audiences with tales of her life long career in show business.
