Subject: Call For Actors/ Play In A Day
This year's event presented by Old Pueblo Playwrights in co-operation with ZUZI's Theater.
The event is November 4&5 but we need actors for November 5. Actors call is 9AM at the auditorium of The Historic Y, 300 E. University. There are 6 ten-minute plays written Friday night and the directors will cast without auditions from the actors who are brave enough to show up at 9AM. The plays are rehearsed during the day and presented as 'staged readings' at 7:30 Saturday evening. No memorizing required. The audience votes for Best Play In A Day and a panel of judges from Tucson's theatre community vote for their favorite. Each winning play ensemble will receive a $150.00 prize. Don't do it for the money...Do it for the challenge! We have a lot of fun and previous winning plays have gone on to further productions and awards.
This is a wonderful Tucson theatre tradition. Please join us!
