BORDERLANDS THEATER TO PRESENT “COYOTE Y CULEBRA YOUTH PROJECT” OCTOBER 29 & 30, 2005  AT 7:30 PM AT THE CABARET THEATRE, TEMPLE OF MUSIC AND ART, 330 S. SCOTT AVENUE.

“Coyote Y Culebra Youth Project” is a family play developed by Toni Press-Coffman, Maribel Alvarez, Eva Tessler and Alida Wilson-Gunn.  This border story told through theater, music and dance narrates the adventures of Belinda (La Vieja) and her lengthy journey to find her grandson, who crossed the border without his family’s consent.  Along the way she meets up with a wily Coyote (the Trickster), the magical water guardian Culebra, and a wise old Cactus.  Will this unlikely foursome find a way to work together for the common good, or will La Vieja be left alone again on this dusty trail through the southwest?

Suggested Donation of $5.00
