Tucson: Casting Call "123 Smile!" (Bilingual Children's short)

CASTING CALL: Tucson, AZ

Project Title: 123 Smile! (Bilingual Children’s short)
Plot: Twelve year old Xochi is tired of bad school pictures and this year, she’s going to do something about it, even if it means a lifetime of detention!

Production Dates: Tentatively weekends of October 2006.
Pay: No pay, but on set meals will be provided and if necessary, transportation
to and from the set will also be provided, a DVD of the final film and special
invitation to the local premiere.

Auditions: Since we are conducting auditions by appointment only, please
send your headshot and resume, (preferably by email, but paper mail will be
accepted) before August 1st, after which, you will be called to audition at
a later date. Please also make sure you will be available during the weekends
of the month of October. We will audition in both Tucson and Phoenix. This is a
no budget film, so actors MUST be in-state (Arizona).

Characters:
Mrs. Norma McLoogle (60s-80s) Caucasian or African American Female with
silvery hair and unique facial features. She is the very strict and scary school
photographer.

Mr. Albert Obregon (30s-50s) Latino Male. The stern homeroom teacher. Some
physical comedy required.

Mr. Jones (30s) African-American Male. Librarian, scholarly and wise. 1 day
shoot.

Jesus (11-14) Pref. Latino Male, but will audition any type. Jesus is the
bad boy of the class, and he also happens to be Xochi’s crush! English-speaking
role. No acting experience is necessary but must be enthusiastic and
available for late summer rehearsals and October Weekends.

2 Brothers (4-16) Latino. Spanish speaking lines. 1 day shoot.
2-4 Bikers, any age, any type male or female. 1 day shoot.

We are also looking for a male motorcycle owner/driver who would be willing
to appear in the film as a stand-in motorcycle driver. You will recieve credit
