Thursday, July 29, 2010 and Friday, July 30, 2010

5 Days Remain for Early Bird Registration

What do Vikings, Sumo wrestlers and Luchadores Mexicanos have in common? They are prepared for a good fight.

And they want you to register for the Southwest Arts Conference, which will take place on Thursday, July 29 and Friday, July 30, 2010 in historic downtown Chandler, Arizona.

The Southwest Arts Conference, or SWAC, can help you learn new fightin' moves, develop useful skills and connections, and identify resources to help you tackle the many daunting challenges facing the arts industry - challenges such as the fractured economy, changing arts participation habits and ever-evolving giving trends.

Registering for the conference is a smart investment for anyone engaged in the Arizona arts industry, and you still have 6 days to take advantage of the early bird registration rate of $99. (Early registration discounts are available until July 20, 2010.) This year's SWAC will feature workshops and sessions for individual artists working in all disciplines, arts educators, arts administrators, board members and volunteers.

Be a part of the solution and make an investment in our collective future today. Register for SWAC, and join us July 29 and 30 in Chandler.

But please, if you choose to attend SWAC in a Sumo outfit, wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water. Chandler is hot in July!

See you there.

Robert C. Booker
Executive Director
