This Thursday, June 17, “Third Thursdays” at The Tucson Botanical Gardens, 6:30pm – 8:45pm – The Batucaxé Performance Group will perform at "Third Thursdays" at the Tucson Botanical Gardens, 2150 N. Alvernon Way. Perfect for winding up your week with friends and family. We look forward to seeing you there! Admission: $3.50 - Gardens adult members ($7.00 adult non-members); $1.50 - Gardens children members ($3.00 children non-members).
Saturday, July 3, Rhythm Industry Performance Factory Quarterly Review, 7:00pm – 10:00pm – Come enjoy the Rhythm Industry Performance Factory Quarterly Review where a wonderful array of Rhythm Industry groups and artists will perform. Batucaxé OPENS the evening with a performance at 7:00pm. Rhythm Industry Performance Factory, 1013 S. Tyndall Ave. (map). Part mixer, part recital, part showcase. All FUN! Suggested donation, $10 - $15.
Sunday, July 4, Mount Lemmon Fourth of July Parade Celebration, 12:00pm – Batucaxé returns to the very spot where the group was founded in 2001 when a few friends got together to perform in the parade. Be a part of the celebration this year as we parade, play music and dance our way through the town of Summerhaven on Mount Lemmon! The parade starts at 12:00pm.
Saturday, July 31, Monsoon Mania Dance Party, 7:00pm – 11:00pm - Join us for a family-friendly party that is guaranteed to be HOT, HOT, HOT with great music, dancing and a lot of fun! Proceeds raised from this event will help send some members of Batucaxé to California Brazil Camp in August to study with master teachers of Brazilian music and dance. And we bring it all back to YOU through our performances and classes! Rhythm Industry Performance Factory, 1013 S. Tyndall Ave. (map). Admission $10.
Every Sunday, Afro-Brazilian Dance Classes with Live Drumming, 5:00pm – 6:15pm – Classes are held at the Rhythm Industry Performance Factory, 1013 S. Tyndall Ave (map). ALL skill levels are welcome and encouraged. You can’t help but to have a great time! $12 walk-in (always welcome) or prepay $40 for 4 classes (use any time). Email dance@batucaxe.org for info.
