This is a short film produced by Cubed Root FIlms, a new production company in town. We are currently in the middle of our Kickstarter campaign to raise money. We have 30 days to raise $1,100 for paying actors and marketing for film festivals when we finish. We at Cubed Root feel it's important to pay our local talent, even if we can't pay much. FILM DESCRIPTION:
What happens when a man you've spent 40 years forgetting winds up at your doorstep? SUNNY DISPOSITION is the story of Ben, a disgruntled actor, whose desire is to live his life without becoming the father he never knew. Ben returns home after a rehearsal to find a message from a father he hasn't seen in 30 years on his answering machine. Tension rises as Ben and his father meet face-to-face. The next few hours Ben spends with his father will forever determine their relationship. Will their father-son connection be rekindled or will it dissolve into an inferno?

CASTING (all money listed is paid for entire shoot and dependent on fundraising):

Ben - MALE / LATE-20s TO MID-30s / $100
A disgruntled theatre actor. Directionless. Medium build. Struggles with abandonment issues with his father. He's had a long, rough life and it shows.

Jeremy - MALE / LATE-TEENS TO MID-20s / $50
Young idealistic novice actor. Awkward and physically fit.

Zack - MALE / 8-10 / $50
Ben's nephew. Energetic and cheerful. Curious and adventurous young man.

Young Ben - MALE / 8-10 / $50
A younger Ben shown in flashbacks. Naive and curious.

Beth - FEMALE / EARLY 40s TO MID-50s / $75
Ben's mother. Wise and tough. She's been Ben's rock throughout life. Single mom.

Steven - MALE / EARLY 40s TO MID-50s / $75
Ben's father. Issues with addiction and leads a rough life. Physically and vocally intimidating. Tall and built.

Director - MALE / 50s / $25
Burnt out but idealistic theatre director. Leading an avant-garde theatre production that shouldn't be produced.

Woman #1 - FEMALE / 18-100 / $25
Actress in avant-garde play.

Woman #2 - FEMALE / 18-100 / $25
Actress in avant-garde play.

Woman #3 - FEMALE / 18-100 / $25
Actress in avant-garde play.
