Out to Lunch Theatre

(Tucson, AZ) Beowulf Alley Theatre at 11 South 6th Avenue is holding auditions for their daytime Out to Lunch Theatre on Wednesday and Thursday, October 12 and 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the theatre. The auditions will not only be for the upcoming November play but also for future plays. Developed with the intent to provide downtown employees a mid-day escape but fun for everyone, Out to Lunch Theatre delivers half-hour performances based on original material by local playwrights and they take place on Fridays at 12:15 p.m. Call time is usually one hour before and performances and strike is complete by 1:15.

If you have daytime availability for rehearsals and performances, transportation, and a willingness to have fun and learn, consider participating with Out to Lunch Theatre.  Those who work evening, students with flexible schedule, seniors and retirees or anyone with daytime availability are welcome to participate. You don’t have to have a lot of experience.

November’s production is Tenure or Dust: For love of an extra hot non-fat no-whip Chai, a famous Bulgarian Poet goes missing. Tenure is at stake and the search leads two bungling English professors to Casey’s, a dog-eared, down-home watering hole, deep in the heart of Tucson.

The performance dates are November 4, 11, & 18.

Rehearsals will begin as soon as the show is cast and actors’ schedules are coordinated.

Please contact Esther Almazan (estherblue@live.com or 520-404-5651) if you are interested in auditioning, want to tech or serve as front of house help.
