Subject: Women In Film

The Tuesday, January 6, 2015, Independent Film Arizona Meeting (7 PM Connect Workspace, 33 South 5th Avenue between Congress and Broadway) will be dedicated to Women in Film.  There will be a panel discussion addressing issues such as:   Why has the Academy of Motion Pictures recognized so few female directors?  Why are female directors of photography so rare?  What films are directed towards female audiences as a marketing demographic -- and why is that significant?  To what extent do filmmakers discriminate against mature female actors and how can that be addressed?

If you are interested in being part of the Women In Film panel (or working to organize the meeting) send an e-mail to IndependentFilmArizona@gmail.com.
