Join the Choir for the Arts Express Production - The Hunchback of Notre Dame

The score is phenomenal, with music by composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Little Mermaid) and lyricist Stephen Schwartz (Wicked). The production includes bold and dramatic theatrics, combined with the musical power of a full choir and orchestra that accompanies the cast.   Here is a link to one of the amazing choral pieces: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS5bZVg1rnw.  In addition to our very talented production team (including Korby Myrick, Director/Choir Director; Enrique “Hank” Feldman, Music Director and Simone Jolivet-Manuel, Assistant Director/Choreographer), cast and choir members will be working with exceptional Tucson artists as professional mentors including Kit Runge and Dennis Tamblyn.  

 
We are currently recruiting for choir members and would appreciate your assistance in reaching out to Tucson’s best vocalists (adults and students).  Here are the details:

REHEARSALS: Saturdays (12:45 – 2:15 pm) from February 3rd – March 31st.  Tech Week 4/2-4/5 rehearsals daily from 5:00 – 10:00 pm

All auditions and rehearsals will be held at the Junior League of Tucson, 2099 E. River Rd.  EXCEPTION:  The location for the 2/3 choir rehearsal WILL NOT be held at the Junior League (location TBD-somewhere near the Junior League). 

SHOWS: Friday 4/6 at 7:00 pm, Saturday 4/7 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, Sunday 4/8 at 2:00 pm, Friday 4/13 at 7:00 pm, Saturday 4/14 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, Sunday 4/15 at 2:00 pm.  All shows will be held at the Berger Performing Arts Center, 1200 W. Speedway.  

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT:  (1) Ability to read music is a necessity;  (2) You do not need to memorize the music (except for the beginning of the processional song); (3) No acting ability is required.
