Description
Arizona Repertory Singers presents Arthur Honegger’s unique theatrical oratorio King David with chamber orchestra, vocal soloists, and guest narrator Grayson Hirst. Featuring an extraordinary range of musical styles – Gregorian chant, early 20th century modernist dissonance, and jazz. Theatrical elements include the off-stage voice of the Witch of Endor, and the character of David sung first by a boy soprano, and later by an adult tenor. Tickets are $23 in advance, $25 at door.
