Entertainment Theatrical Manager
The Entertainment Theatrical Manager will work alongside the existing Entertainment management and other members of the Old Tucson management team. The Entertainment Theatrical Manager will report directly to the General Manager of Old Tucson Company. This position is responsible for direction and activities in the following areas of the Entertainment Department:
· Musical Performances
· Wardrobe
· Street Entertainment / "Street-mosphere"
· Docent Coordination
· Staff, training for and development of the above
These responsibilities include show formulation, strategy, planning, budgeting, interdepartmental coordination and production, rehearsal, directing, and day-to-day activities and training of all assigned Entertainment Performers. The Manager also oversees the Wardrobe staff, and may be required to stand in during performances as needed. This position requires supporting the goals and direction of management in an effort to successfully execute the policies and procedures necessary to ensure a safe, positive experience for the guests and employees of Old Tucson Company.
Essential requirements:
· Experience with live entertainment, including performing personally as well as leadership functions such as stage management
· Demonstrated ability with show development, through stages such as concept, scripting, rehearsal and complete implementation
· Demonstrated ability with show production, including lighting design, sound design and costuming.
Preferred qualifications:
· Business acumen, demonstrated by specific achievements in the workforce involving budget planning and oversight
· Experience supervising personnel, including scheduling, staffing and management of personnel issues
· Able to train and coach employees in singing, dancing and acting.
· Able to choreograph dance performances.
· Familiar with entertainment related to the Wild West theme and/or historical 1800s performances and subject matter of the American West.
· Familiar with wardrobe and costuming
· Experience with live performances for corporate functions
This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits. Availability is required on weekends, evenings and some holidays.
