The Community Players presents The Foreigner

Larry Shue hit theatre gold with his play The Foreigner. Unfortunately, Shue died in a small plane crash just a year after the play first opened Off Broadway and was never able to enjoy the fruits of his labor. The Foreigner centers around Charlie, a mild mannered science fiction magazine writer who has come to rural Georgia with a friend while his wife may be dying in Britain. Feelinig guilty, he tells his friend he doesn't think he can talk to anyone. Moving quickly, his friend tells the lodge owner that Charlie is from a faraway exotic place and understands no English. Charlie quickly finds out that people let their guard down when they think someone doesn't understand them, and becomes privy to some deep dark secrets of the other guests at the lodge. The hilarity ensues as the real nature of peoples intentions come to light.
