We have been working hard to keep the comedy classes rolling your way in a digital format! We have a few classes starting before the end of the month, and would love to see you participating in them. Sketch Writing 101 starts this weekend with Amanda Tennyson as the instructor. It's the perfect class to really work out your game of the scene skills. Focusing 100% on what is funny in a scene and how to develop it. For those of us who love doing improv and aren't doing it as much at the moment, it's some sweet sweet practice to get back into the 'what is the funny thing' mindset!
Next Sunday we have Stand Up 101 starting with two brand new teachers Rory Monserat and Rich Gary. Pumped to get two new teachers going in the Stand Up Class! They both bring a new perspectives on how to write stand up, which will bring new viewpoints our students. We are keeping everything online at the moment as our county continues the fight against COVID-19, but we would love to see you in our classes, this is really helping to keep our theater going while we are shut down!
This October TIM will debut four BRAND NEW shows completely created for the Digital Edition format. Our first new team is the Stuck At Home Comedy Show/An Improvised... You may remember these from over the summer, but the team has a formal cast, and they taking the format to a higher level. A Stuck At Home Comedy Show will have their first show on October 9th, and then perform again at the end of October doing an Improvised trick-or-treat, or hayride, or haunted house. We'll see, you'll need to watch to find out. Is that spooky szn on the horizon, you bet it is! The cast includes: Alex Demetroutis, Jen Lamfers, Kurt Lueders, Justin Lukasewicz, Czarina Nafarrate, Amanda Tennyson, and Charly Van Den Bergh.

Sketch Writing 101 (Digital Edition)
Sunday, September 20th
Over six weeks, students will learn the basics of writing comedy sketches. We will discuss: generating comedic ideas, formulating with a premise, the game of the sketch and sketch revision. Students will write smart two person scenes grounded in reality, and have fun doing it under the TIM Comedy Philosophy!
This will be a Digital Correspondence version of the class. Students will get one content module per week with reading and exercises to complete. They will receive weekly feedback from the instructor via email, and also there will be an optional once per week digital office hours (Wednesdays 6-7pm) where students can join a video conference call to chat with their instructor and classmates about questions they have on the course material.
