It was always a great affair, the Misses Morkan’s annual dance. Everybody
who knew them came to it...

The Rogue Theatre presents James Joyce's "The Dead"

Widely considered one of the greatest short stories in the English language,
"The Dead" is a memorable portrait of life in 1904 Dublin.  The story takes
place all in one night at a musical party of two elderly aunts on the
evening of the Epiphany.  This new adaptation for the stage includes a cast of 17 
and live traditional music from the Irish band ROUND THE HOUSE, 
violinist Robert Villa, and harpist Paul Amiel, with additional piano
and vocal music.

The show runs from March 23 to April 2, 2006 (Thursdays - Saturdays, 7:30
p.m.; Sundays 2:00 p.m.).  ROUND THE HOUSE will present a preshow starting
15 minutes before curtain.

Directed by Cynthia Meier with Musical Direction by Harlan Hokin.
