Subject: [Tucson Actors] Casting for short film "Johnny Diamond, Private Eye"

Hello, all.  My name is John Wellbeloved and I'm a film student @
PCC.  I am currently casting for a short video production of "Johnny
Diamond, Private Eye" that I'm producing for my Adv. Video class.
It is a Film Noir piece set in 1950 Los Angeles and will be shot in
B&W.

Production days are tentatively scheduled for March 28, April 2, and
April 8, all after 5pm.

The parts I still have to cast are as follows:

Johnny Diamond -  Johnny Diamond is a Thirty-something year old WWII
Vet who served for over two years as an Infantry Sergeant in the
European Theatre, including being involved in the D-Day landings and
the Battle of the Bulge.  His experience taught him how to survive
while facing danger and death straight in the eyes.  Prior to
joining in the fight against Hitler, Johnny was a promising Boxer
who, for various reasons, was never able to get to the top.
Returning home after the War, he worked multiple odd jobs in his
native New York, but felt restless and lost, so he headed west to
Los Angeles in 1947 hoping to make a new life for himself.  Three
years later, we find him working as a Private Eye/Bodyguard in the
City of Angels once again feeling restless and questioning what he
was doing with his life.  After yet another brush with death, he
decides its time to hang up his gun and retire.  That night, one of
the most beautiful women he had ever laid eyes on shows up at his
door, begging for his help.  Unable to refuse her, he is once again
drawn into the dark world of a Private Eye.

***Diamond has already been cast.  However, the actor may have some
conflicts with the shooting schedule, and I will not find out for
sure until March 6th.  If you are interested in the part, please
contact me as it may still be available.***

Sarah Tompkins -  Ms. Tompkins is a young, wealthy and quite
beautiful widow who is being followed and threatened by an unknown
assailant.  She has hired Diamond to protect her, and over the two
weeks he has been by her side, she has fallen for him.  Diamond,
being a loner, doesn't reciprocate her feelings.

Rochelle Harlow -  Ms. Harlow is a young, stunning, tall blonde from
the mid-west who is trying to reach stardom in Hollywood as an
actress.  After inadvertently discovering a plot to kill the head of
Galaxy Pictures by a top executive, her life is in danger, so she
turns to Diamond to help and protect her.

These are non-paying roles, but I will give all actors a copy of the
film on DVD when production is complete in May.  If you are
interested in any of these parts, please contact me at:
