Subject: FW: African American Actor Needed!

REVISED 3/10/06

Catalina Players is continuing their search for actors to portray the
following available leading roles in the May 2006 production of The Boys
Next Door. The character descriptions are as follows:

Lucien: African-American Man, 40's-50's, mentally challenged

Barry: mid to late 20's, schizophrenic

Jack: a wry man in his mid to late 30's, social worker, athletic build

Auditions will take place Monday, March 13th (or by special appointments)
from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Christ Presbyterian Church on Broadway just east
of Wilmot after Burger King and a couple of houses. Call Bill Fikaris,
Director at 730-7203 or Priscilla Marquez, Executive Director at 304-9171
for further information.

The Boys Next Door is about four mentally handicapped men live under the
supervision of an earnest, but increasingly "burned out" young social
worker. Mingled with scenes from the daily lives of these four, where
"little things" sometimes become momentous (and often very funny), are
moments of great poignancy when, with touching effectiveness, we are
reminded that the handicapped, like the rest of us, want only to love and
laugh and find some meaning and purpose in the brief time which they, like
their more fortunate brothers, are allotted on this earth.

Play opens May 12, 13, 19, 20, 21 2006, (7 performances) at Academy Hall
6653 E. Carondolet Dr. Atria Bell Court Gardens by The Catalina Players.
