Hi everyone,

The Divas and I are gearing up for our annual concert at the Berger Center
for the Performing Arts, Sat., May 13 at 7pm. As this will be Mother´s Day
weekend, we will make it a special Diva-Day celebration, including a special
price for Divas-in-Training (12 and under). May 13 is also Graduation, so we
have a special price for graduates as well. Tickets can be purchased at my
website, www.lisaotey.com or by calling Lisa or Diane at 370.5912. This
event is co-sponsored by the Tucson Jazz Society so members get a special
discount. If you are not yet a member, sign up at www.tucsonjazz.org.

We have some new faces in the Desert Divas this year. The lineup is
Hurricane Carla; Anna Warr; Lisa Otey; Diane Van Deurzen; and Regina ¨the
Queen¨ Wills. We will also feature two surprise special guest Divas.

Hurricane Carla just returned from a tour of Ireland with Bad News Blues and
Holland and Belgium with Jumpin´ Johnny Strasser´s tribute to Wynonnie
Harris.

Anna Warr celebrated her first ¨Goddess of Love¨ tour in France and Holland
last summer and will return to Holland this fall with Sam Taylor and Heather
Hardy for Mr. Boogie Woogie´s ¨Boogie and Blues Night¨ theatre tour. She has
a new CD out, recorded on Mr. Boogie Woogie´s label, Firesweep Records.

Diane Van Deurzen has been enjoying success in Europe as well, singing with
the Divas in Spain last summer and with Lisa in Holland and France.
Regina also enjoyed her debut in Europe with the Divas last summer.

Liz McMahon is unable to join the concert this year as she is starring in
the Invisible Theatre production, ¨Cooking With Gus.¨ She will rejoin the
group later this year as we gear up for our Caribbean Cruise in January and
our return to France next summer.

New Beginnings for Women and Children will be present at the concert with
copies of the ¨Lullabies for New Beginnings¨ CD project, produced by Nancy
McCallion and featuring many of Tucson´s women singer/songwriters, including
Divas Lisa Otey, Diane Van Deurzen and Hurricane Carla.

Celebrate the Diva in all of us Sat., May 13 at the Berger!
