Saturday Classes:  Professional Training in Psychophysical Actions:  12:00 – 3:00 pm Includes: 

Yoga Meditation

Psychophysical conditioning exercises:  The Key to Spontaneous Emotions    

Voice and Speech                                           

Dramatic improvisation – Long and Short forms

Monologue and Scene study using Active Analysis through Psychophysical Actions

Performance Showcases

 

Sunday Classes:  Unlocking Shakespeare:  5:30 – 8:30 pm - 175.00 – Includes:

Yoga Meditation

Extensive Voice and Speech training

Neuro-Linguistic Physical Exercises developed by the Royal Shakespeare Company

Monologue and Scene Study

Active Analysis

Monday Classes:  Rehearsal/Performance Ensemble:  6:30 – 9:30 pm –

(This class is reserved for students who have completed at least one term in the Saturday and Sunday classes, and who have demonstrated a commitment to their training.)

 

Tuition:

1 Class per week                          175.00

2 Classes per week                     350.00

3 Classes per week                     350.00* 

 

*Note: (Students enrolled in the Rehearsal/Performance Ensemble must attend classes no less than twice weekly.  The 3rd class is free of charge.)

Philip G. Bennett, Artistic Director is a graduate from the renowned American Stanislavsky Theatre in New York, where he served as actor, instructor and Assistant Artistic Director to Sonia Moore, émigré actress/director from the Third Studio of the Moscow Art Theatre. Mr. Bennett founded the San Francisco Theatre Academy in 1976 and is a three-time recipient of the prestigious Hollywood Dramalogue Award.

 

Graduate students appear regularly in film and television, and are accepted in conservatories and repertory companies in the US and the UK.
