Valley of the Moon auditions for Hallucinate!

CASTING CALL: 
November 8 & 9, 6-8 pm

​Thank you for showing interest in Valley of the Moon and Hallucinate!  For those that aren't aware of the content of this show, this is a show about mental illness, schizophrenia in particular.  This show contains images of voices and hallucinations speaking to and putting down the main character. If you think this could be triggering for you or if you think you can't handle this, don't force yourself to participate. Please read the script if you are considering auditioning.

Please be aware that this show does contain heavy emotional content and scenes containing emotional abuse, talking down to characters, and putting down of characters in the show.  It must be understood that to be a part of this show, there must be a level of emotional maturity met, as well as the assurance that the actors understand the gravity of the subject matter.  As such, we will not be allowing anyone under the age of 14 to audition or be in the show. In addition, Valley of the Moon will be requiring the consent of a parent or legal guardian who has read the script and approved the content for anyone under the age of 18 who wishes to audition.  Also, for anyone ages 17 and under who does have permission to participate, their parent or guardian MUST come and stay for the casting call AND the first weekend of rehearsals. If this requirement is not met, your children will not be allowed to participate.


Contrary to Valley of the Moon tradition, this will also be a selective cast, meaning not everyone who auditions will get a part in this show.  This is due to the small, intimate nature of the show. There will only be a few show nights and limited rehearsal time, so the director will not have the time to work with every actor individually in the case of a large cast.
