CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
You are invited to submit nominations for the
A project of the Tucson Pima Arts Council, in partnership with the business, government and arts community.
Who are the people and companies that enrich our city and county, who support and promote and create lifelong opportunities in the arts?
Nominations must be received by or postmarked by March 2, 2006
Categories:
Artists
- Lifetime Achievement: To an individual artist who has sustained excellence and innovation in their field of art over a significant number of years
- Individual Achievement: For outstanding innovation and contribution in a field of art by an emerging artist
Arts Organizations
- Emerging Organization (less than 10 years): for innovation and creativity in their field
- Established Organization (10 years or more): for innovation, creativity and sustained excellence in their field
Businesses
- Businesses with less than 50 employees: for outstanding support of the arts
- Businesses with more than 50 employees: for outstanding support of the arts
Art Support Award
To an individual or organization having demonstrated outstanding leadership in advancing the arts in the community through advocacy, promotion and/or development of the arts
Arts Education Awards
- An individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation and creativity in arts education
- An organization having demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation and creativity in arts education
Arts Volunteer Award
To an individual who has contributed significantly to the advancement of the arts in the community

Judging: A panel of judges will recommend the winner in each category to the Tucson Pima Arts Council.
Awards: Each award recipient will receive an artist designed, hand crafted object d’art in recognition of their accomplishments.
To nominate:
- Identify the category in which the nominee is being recommended for an award
- Write a one-page letter describing why the nominee should receive the award
- Include two additional letters of support for the nomination
- Sign the letter and include contact information for the nominator and nominee (name, address, phone, email)
- Up to three samples of supplemental information demonstrating quality of work will be accepted but are not required

*Emails will be accepted as long as the nomination and all supporting documents and letters are sent in the same file. We cannot be responsible for nominations sent under separate covers or in separate emails (i.e. letters of support not accompanying the nomination).
