Tucson: Arizona Opera is looking child actors for MADAME BUTTERFLY

Arizona Opera is looking for a couple of children to perform with us in MADAME BUTTERFLY.  Rehearsals begin just after the New Year, and the last performance is February 4.  Dress rehearsals and 5 of the performances take place in Phoenix.  We are seeking the following:

 

A boy or girl around 4 years old, Asian or Asian-American to play the role of Sorrow.  This is a big role with lots of stage time, and the child needs to be quite disciplined and able to focus. Also should be quite small in stature.

 

A boy around 13-14 years old, Asian or Asian-American, very smart and outgoing, preferably with some acting experience.
