LaughingStock Returns to Beowulf

Tucson -- The Beowulf Alley Theatre Company is delighted to present "Grand
Canyon Comedy or That¹s One Big Sarcasm," an evening of improvisational
comedy with LaughingStock Comedy Company beginning the Wednesday after
Christmas and running through New Years Day 2007. Shows are at 7:30 pm
except New Year¹s Eve and New Year¹s Day at 1:30 PM only. Tickets are $17
and are available at the Beowulf Alley Theatre box office. Tickets,
reservations and information available at 520-882-0555 and at the web site:
www.beowulfalley.org. The Beowulf Alley Theatre is at 11 South Sixth Avenue
at Broadway in Tucson, Arizona.

LaughingStock Comedy Company is a touring company based in Tucson. Not a
club, they spend the majority of their time performing customized comedy
shows for corporate and association special events around the country.
Recent clients include: United Airlines, Circuit City and Sun Microsystems.

"These rare public appearances are a joy to perform because we are
unfettered by the constraints of our corporate work," according to Dean
Steeves, performing partner at LaughingStock. "We try to do a show in Tucson
every year because it¹s so much fun playing to a hometown crowd. We really
look forward to creating these wide-open, no-holds-barred comedy improv
shows."

Improvisational comedy is immediate and exciting. The shows are fresh,
original scenes based on audience input. The audience fills in the details
of this distinctive comedy by volunteering a variety of suggestions
throughout the performance - emotions, objects, activities, occupations,
locations, for example - and becomes part of the fun as they watch their
ideas mushroom into comedy mayhem.

"We really looking forward to performing in the Beowulf Theatre," says
Steeves. "It's perfect for our kind of intimate relationship with the
audience. LaughingStock's players are rested and ready to create big laughs
again this year. And it¹s a lot more fun than sitting at home with your
parents over the holidays."
