ARTsTeach to include Arizona Theatre Company, Tucson Museum of Art, Tucson
Symphony Orchestra and UAPresents

Arizona Theatre Company, the Tucson Museum of Art, the Tucson Symphony
Orchestra and UAPresents offer ARTsTeach, a week of discovery and learning
for educators, June 4 - 8, 2007.

The purpose of ARTSsTeach is to introduce classroom teachers to the rich
array of arts education resources and experiences available in their
community, and to provide them with tools for integrating arts into their
classroom. The program will also familiarize the teachers with each of
these organizations, and inspire the teachers to fill their classroom with
the arts. The teachers will visit the homes of these four arts organizations
for one day each during the week, experience events in each art form, and
participate in hands-on workshops that will relate to and enhance their
classroom teaching.

Registration begins at 8:30 AM at the Temple of Music and Art on Monday,
June 4, followed by events prepared by Arizona Theatre Company. Educators
will be with the following organizations throughout the week:

Monday, June 4, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Arizona Theatre Company at the Temple of Music of Art

Tuesday, June 5, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Tucson Symphony Orchestra at Tucson Music Hall

Wednesday, June 6, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

UAPresents at Centennial Hall

Thursday, June 7, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Tucson Museum of Art

ARTsTeach concludes on Friday, June 8 from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Tucson
Museum of Art with a performance by Keynote speaker and pianist Tom Horne,
State Superintendent of Public Instruction.

ARTsTeach is the beginning of a strong and powerful collaboration among the
four organizations, with a potential impact above and beyond the value of
this exciting and valuable training week, benefiting the entire community.
