Subject: Twelfth Night Performances
For Immediate Release
Tucson Parks and Recreation̢۪s El Rio Theatre Project makes its debut
with a series of eight evening performances of Shakespeare̢۪s Twelfth
Night Sept. 27-30 and Oct. 4-7 at the Himmel Park Outdoor Amphitheater,
1000 N.
Tucson Blvd.
Performances are free to the public and begin at 7:30 p.m. Donations
of $5 are suggested.
Two additional special performances will be offered at the Presidio San
Augustin del Tucson, 197 N. Church Ave.,
Oct. 19-20 at 7:30 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring the family, a blanket and a picnic
basket for an evening of theater in the park.
The play is a comedy that centers on mistaken identity and involves
brother and sister identical twins separated by a shipwreck but later
reunited. The ensuing confusion, intrigue and love triangle arises
because the sister has been living disguised as a man since the
accident.
For information contact Michael Givens, El Rio Center recreation
coordinator and director of the performances, at 791-4196.
