Free Costuming Workshops!
Procession of Little Angels
Sundays 1-4 p.m. beginning Oct. 5th through Nov. 2nd
Wednesdays 6-9 pm beginning Oct. 8th through Oct. 29th

Sculpture Resource Center
640 N. Stone Avenue, just north of 6th Street

Kids are welcome to come down and expand their Little Angels experience into an extended creative process by bringing their families to the workshops and developing a fantasy persona for the event on Saturday, Nov. 8. The inspiration for this persona could be anything magical, fantastic or otherworldly from out of the realm of the mythic imagination, as opposed to that of pop culture and product. It could also be an animal who was a pet once loved and lost, or even a family member or friend who’s passed on.

We’ll help by providing creative consultation, expert sewing assistance, and materials while they last. Creative scavenging around the house, thrift-shopping, etc. is strongly encouraged!

More about the Procession:
Little Angels is a family-friendly event acknowledging and celebrating deceased loved ones from the perspective of the child. Children participate in art activities such as wing-making and decorating, face painting, sugar skull decorating, story telling, and theater. Finale workshops are offered so that the children can participate in their own Procession/Finale-Spectacle. Angels on stilts lead the children on a procession around the Downtown public square to the finale stage area, where artists present a live performance-spectacle.
