Tucson: CYT Tucson opens Sahuarita/Green Valley location, enrollment and auditions

CYT is now opening a location in the Sahuarita/Green Valley area.  The informational meeting for the program will be held on August 12th at 6:30pm at the Sahuarita High School Auditorium Pod A.  For more info please call 751-7510.


Fall classes for CYT Tucson begin August 17, 18 and 19th.  Ages 6-18.  Registration is now being accepted for Fall classes in the Northwest, East and now Sahuarita/Green Valley locations.  See website: or call 751-7510 for more information.


Auditions for CYT Tucson's productions of Cinderella and A Christmas Carol will be held at the University of Arizona Holsclaw Hall on August 21 and 22.  Must be enrolled in classes to audition.


CYT Tucson would like to welcome our newest staff members:  Mr. Armen Dirtadian and Mr. Juan Aguirre.


Armen, who will be directing CYT's production of "A Christmas Carol", is a long-time Tucson favorite, most known for his association with Gaslight Theater, Simon Peter and many other local and regional theater companies,television and film productions! 


Mr Aguirre, who holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in vocal performance from the UA, will be directing CYT's Fall production of Rogers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella". Mr. Aguirre is also a well-known Tucson performer.


CYT Tucson is very excited about these new partnerships and is most thrilled for the youth of Tucson who will have the opportunity to work with these great directors!  Joining Armen and Juan in the directors' circle this year will be


Michael Dohrmann, a local film producer, directing "Tom Sawyer" and Jon Thuerbach, another well-known local performer, directing "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and "Music Man".
